Its a New Year

So here it is the middle of Janury, and I am just getting to blogging about the holidays. It was wonderful to have a break. Doug was off of school, which he enjoyed, and was home in the mornings so I could nap after work...so it even felt like a vacation for me.

We kicked off the season with a trip to see the lights at Temple Square a few days after Thanksgiving.





We decided to get a real tree this year, but went small so that we could keep Luke from pulling off the decorations. Doug of course though the tree was rather silly, but I though it was very cute. It smelled delightful. We enjoyed many evenings together by the light of the tree listening to Christmas music.




Luke thought the tree was very exciting as you can see.


Luke was spoiled by all of his Aunties, Uncles and Grandparents. We actually let him open a present a day the week of Christmas so he could enjoy all the toys. I think next year will be magical....






Stockings have always been my favorite part of Christmas morning. So many little treasures in one package. I think Luke really like his stocking because he could see all the goods. He dug in giggling at one thing after another.

We had a wonderful traditional Polish Wigilia with our good friends on Christmas Eve, and spent a few days relaxing at Grandma and Grandpa Bradfords house. It was a wonderful Christmas. We did however miss our Eastern family very much and look forward to spending some time with them soon.

We hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas as well, and look forward to seeing you this year. We have a lot of changes to look forward to with Dougs graduation this spring!
